Set in its own grounds with private car parking The Hermitage offers its guests a friendly and relaxed stay in Kingussie. Victorian designed of traditional stone and slate The Hermitage was for several generations the local Doctors Surgery and featured in the BBC TV series ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ in the episode with Moira Stewart.
During your stay enjoy views of the magnificent Cairngorm Mountains and Ruthven Barracks from the garden. The Hermitage has been awarded a Four Star Quality Rating from the Scottish Tourist Board and is an ideal location from which to explore The Highlands.
Enjoy a hearty and healthy Scottish breakfast in our dining room over looking the garden and mountains.
Evening Dinner is available on request and provides excellent home cooked fare using fresh and local produce. We ask that meals be booked in advance where possible.
The Hermitage is not licensed, however you are welcome to bring in drinks to enjoy with your meal and there is an off-licence located nearby offering a good range of beers, wines and spirits to facilitate this.
