Aonach is a modern self catering bungalow situated at the south end of the Spey Valley in the Scottish Highlands. The house is located in the heart of the area used as "Glenbogle" in the filming of the popular BBC series, "Monarch of the Glen".Some of last year's guests were lucky enough to see filming at Drumguish and meet some of the stars!
This detached modern bungalow, was built in Autumn 1989 and is attractively furnished. The house has a generous garden area with ample vehicle parking for two cars. Close to a pinewood, it enjoys spectacular views across an open field to the Feshie hills. Spacious throughout, the accommodation comprises 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms, bathroom, lounge, diningroom/fitted kitchen and drying room.
Drumguish is a quiet hamlet of some 12 houses, just ½ a mile off the B970 road from Kingussie to Insh. The road to Drumguish carries no through traffic. There are many country walks through moor and woodland to be enjoyed from the doorstep and wildlife abounds, with deer, squirrels, rabbits and birds of prey all nearby. In winter you may be lucky enough to see waxwings in the nearby fields or, in summer a cuckoo. As a result the house offers the ideal setting for an "away-from-it-all" holiday and is equally well placed as a centre from which to explore all the leisure and recreational pursuits available close at hand.
